Take The Limits Off!!

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

He’s always knocking the limits off our lives. –Dr. Myles Munroe

So here we are again, confronted with life’s difficulties and impossibilities, encouraging us to give up and daring us to keep going. The insistent tug of war between our earthly reality and who we were created to be; sons and daughters of the Most High God who can defy the limits of this world, it’s who we are. Being described as a little lower than the angels (Hebrews 2:7) is a testament in the Word of God to the power we hold, and the unrelenting, unending potential we have. Here are 3 reasons to have radical faith and live a life without limits through Christ Jesus.

1. You were adopted

When Jesus stood before the murderous mob who spat at Him and mocked His name, Pontus Pilate pleaded with Him to relent so he wouldn’t have to sentence Him. With every confidence, squared shoulders, and fierce eye contact Jesus told Pontus Pilate, “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53) This is one of the biggest mic drop moments in the history of all mankind. It was because Jesus knew who He was, has radical faith in His Father, and lived without limits, He could boldly declare the power He commanded at His fingertips.

The story doesn’t quite go that way, does it? No, moments later the Son of God would be hanging from a cross, relinquishing His power to complete His purpose; qualifying us through salvation to become children of God. We were adopted, redeemed back to our Father on that day and we are reminded that Jesus rose with all power, the dopest superhero of all time!

2. You were filled

After conquering death, hell, and the grave (as all the angels adjust their sunglasses and nod their heads from the swelling pride they had in their King) Jesus rose from the dead with all power (Matthew 28:18). The same Spirit that raised Him is the same one living in us! What limits do we have if the Holy Spirit, the ultimate grave raiser, and supernatural resuscitator lives in us? We are created with the same amount of potential that is in direct proportion to the limits of the Spirit of God; boundless! If sickness, financial stress, divorce, death, or any giant is posing as a limit in our lives with radical faith we can take it all on with our limitless access to the power of God.

It’s almost as though God looks at the ideas He stored in us and says with a voice disappointment, “If you only knew what you can do. –Dr. Myles Munroe

3. You are called

We see in Genesis that every time God opens His mouth perfection is formed and it’s with the same love and power that He calls our names. With every heartbeat, we are to be reminded of who’s supplying the life we live, the air we breathe, and the limitless blessings that surround us. The bible declares that we are joint-heirs with Jesus (Romans 8:17), the stamp of approval, the qualifying blood of the Lamb that has sealed our fate, and the evidence of our own potential. We are called to do the impossible because God abides in us and there’s nothing impossible for Him. Let’s take the limits off our limitless God and submit our lives to His will where there are endless possibilities!
