God in Earthen Vessels

Updated: Dec 10, 2018

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." Genesis 2:7

Humans have an innate curiosity. We are always searching for the unknown. With our attraction to other worlds and UFOs and the vastness of the universe, we begin to wonder when we look out instead of within. Perhaps, we've become so bored with our human reality we've lost sight on how awesome we really are. Now, we don't boast about our humanity because we're human but, because our Creator, God our Father, has chosen humans to replicate His nature. Think about it; everything that was ever created was formed by the spoken Word of God but when it came to mankind He formed us with His hands. It's easy to miss with all the splendor there is in the world but the awesome fact is that God took His time creating us, what a personal God we serve!

Our 9-5s can have us living with our heads down and filling our time with moving from one task to the next, and we forget that the very air we breathe is God filled. Leaning on our own understanding of order and decency we've elected kings and trusted in politics all the while forsaking the truth of our lives here on earth. We are citizens of God's Kingdom and His Kingdom knows no end. We are His righteousness in a dark and dying world, the evidence of His love and power but, how quickly we forget that citizenship. When making any decision our humanity doesn't ask our faith permission to use logic all the while our faith is begging us to go deeper into the knowledge of God.

What to study at school, how to pay for a new building, even who to marry can be decided with logic and facts but, our citizenship in God's Kingdom declares that our King rules our lives. His authority supersedes our logical agendas. Our choices must move God's Kingdom forward as this world is moving against us. John 17:14 "I have given

"Seek first the kingdom of God and all it's righteousness and everything will be added to you." Matthew 6:33

them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world." Jesus reminds us of how much the world needs Him and now that we carry Him within us we’ve become salt and light, we hold heavenly answers to earth’s questions.

In the beauty of creation unfolding for five days God decided that on the sixth day He would create man, carriers of His sanctification, holiness, and glory. Beings that would be the bridge between heaven and earth, vessels that would continue God’s Kingdom principles and we are the extension of that Kingdom. Can we imagine what perfection was spoken from the mouth of God those five days? Everything untouched and unpolluted, divine and destined to work according to the infinite wisdom of our God. For intimate, powerful and loving reasons God decided to get His hands dirty and create man. Every intricacy of this bodily system we have, God formed, and then with all intention of us taking dominion over an earth He created in perfection He breathed His glory in us. That very act is bigger than our bank accounts, more severe than our ailments, and much more than any other citizenship we may claim. We are the King’s kids! Just as our Father formed us from the dust it’s our time to get our hands dirty, labor in the fields, and be the extension of heaven we were created to be. No passport necessary.
